Chapter 4

Angel stood over the corpse's. Whoever she was she, demon or slayer chick, she didn't do a very good job at hiding the bodies. He found the heads in a trash bin and the bodies only placed between two dumpsters. Blood was everywhere. His eyes scanned the dark, nothing escaped his view.

The blood was darker than humans. He looked at the spread pattern. It was inconsistent, it didn't spread right. Spike was right, he shook his head in disgust, this blood was heavier than it was supposed to be, creating an odd spread pattern, He looked at the bodies, nothing out of the ordinary. No jewelry or any identification on them. The larger of the two torsos had $50 bill tucked in his front pocket. and that's all he found.

He frowned he didn't like not having answers. Who were these creatures, who was this girl? His brain felt like it was on fire, something wasn't right about this girl. She wasn't a slayer, she wasn't human, she had to be a demon, or a very cunning vigilante witch? A witch that had vampire strength, and speed. Those eyes, they were enchanting. She had to be magical, nothing could explain it.

He sighed in frustration. This was going nowhere fast. He took out his cell phone, and dialed.

"Gunn, I ran into a problem." Angel closed his eyes.

"What ran out of demons to hunt?" Gunn sounded like he had been asleep.

"No, I want you to get Illyria and go to Wolfram and Harts old lab. I'm bringing her a body that needs to be examined. I'm hoping her memories ofFred might be able to salvage the lab and help me with me... ah... problem."

"Call her yourself, she doesn't do anything I say!" Gunn replied irritatingly.

"Yes but lucky for me you do what I say! Just get it done. I don't care what you have to say or do get her highness over there." Without hearing for a reply he ended the call.

Glancing at the bodies one more time he sighed, "I had to bring the camaro today," he mumbled.

------------------------

Spike stared at the blond and bold beauty before him. He ran his tounge over his bottom lip and cocked his head to the left. He was getting nowhere with her, and he knew he wasn't going to get any answers out of her till she wanted to tell them.

"Well pet, whatever the hell you are were stuck together, till I sus out if your a goodie, or a baddie." She took a step closer towards him. "So which is it, love?"

He scanned her face waiting for her to fold. For her to do anything other than what he was doing. She had been toying with him like a mouse does to a cat. If she wasn't careful he would have no issue at showing her he was a cat also, a big one with claws. But for now he studied every movement till his patience was up.

"Why do you call me love?" She took another step closer closing the gap. He tried to pretend her stalking up to him wasn't getting to him but he was wishing her at a distance. Her eyes bore into him and he didn't like this feeling.

"Answer a damn question." He was losing his cool.

"Or else what?" She was now only a step away, he could feel her heat.

Heat. He cocked his eyebrows up in light of the new evidence. Vampire could walk into her residence, and had a body heat. She couldn't be dead, she couldn't be a slayer, and she fount demons. Maybe a rouge demon that fought other demons like he had done after the chip, and before his soul. He scanned her poker face, no clues. Maybe her body offered anymore betraying facts. He looked at her eyes, fleck of silver and blue made them so hypnotic. Her ruby and full lips seemed so inviting. Her body movement spoke of how much she wanted it, just as much as he did.

"I wonder..." He cut himself off in planting a a kiss on those luscious lips.

God...

God...

Only word or thought that would come to his head. The moment their lips fluttered in a light touch his head was no longer capable of though. His body went into a primal instinct mode, his mind wasn't working but his body knew what he wanted. His hands went to the back of her head, and he deepened the kiss.

God...

He pushed his weight into her, making her moan. The seductive noise sent another stupor shock wave through him. Was so intense that for a brief second his very soul felt fear, fear of losing his grip losing himself in this mysterious women. But the fear only lasted a second, she grabbed his coat by the opening and pulled him into herself. Tilting her head back asking for more of him. But as if reason had grabbed a hold of her she broke the kiss.

When he could stand of his two feet again he opened his eyes, she was smiling.

"Find what you were looking for?" Her eyes, glittered with a mischievousness. Spike looked deeply into her eyes for the first time.

Pure moon light, that is the only way to describe the color. Reflectiveness of gold flakes, intensified the gaze. She was looking at his soul, he could feel her deep within searching. He could feel the moon light glow lighting up the dark corners. Fear crept into his mind. Fear, actual fear. He was a killing machine, he was a serial killer, he had killed thousands. Everything about him was lethal, and he had enjoyed the blood, the cold, the kill, its what made him strong. He had no fear of anything, nothing to fear when you are the top of the food chain and your main course was always terrified. Even now with a soul he still had his strength, and speed of the lethal weapon he was. But now he felt fear. In the arms of this women he had no name for, looking into her eyes made everything in him tremble, even the demon.

The demon. Yes the monster within the lethal weapon was quivering. It wanted to escape, The light that was invading on him was intense. Spike could feel the beast within him shrieking, trying to breakout. There was a terrifying battle within him, that he could feel for the first time, light and dark, darkness was strong it had taken root and spread over the ages of destruction.

Spike couldn't move, but he watched as the women's hands reached around his neck. Last thing Spike sensed was the loud CRACK of his neck breaking under her hands.
